Our Thanksgiving Heritage Breed Turkeys
Slow Food Russian River is proud to present, in collaboration with the Sonoma County 4-H, the Heritage-Breed Turkey Project for 2018.
This year, the student-farmers are raising Bronze, Narragansett, Bourbon Red, and Royal Palm.
Ordering your Thanksgiving turkey supports our young 4-H farmers, organic farming, and the preservation of heritage breeds.

Please reserve your turkey by filling out the form and mailing in your deposit. The cost is $9.50/ lb. with the balance due upon pick up, to be paid directly to the young farmer via check or cash. Turkeys will be available for pickup Tuesday, November 20, and Wednesday, November 21, in Sebastopol. You will be notified with details of the times and location the week prior to Thanksgiving. Please mail your $40 deposit made payable to SFRR to Heritage Turkey Sales, P.O. Box 2746, Sebastopol, CA 95473.

Pies and Produce
Again this year, we are offering our loyal Heritage Turkey customers some wonderful accouterments for your Thanksgiving dinner. We know many of you drive an hour or more to pick up your Thanksgiving birds and we’d like to make your Thanksgiving feast preparation a little easier. Fresh-baked pumpkin and pecan pies from Dominique’s Sweets and CSA boxes of fresh local produce from Laguna Farm in Sebastopol are available to enhance your holiday meal. Order below and we’ll have them waiting to pick up along with your turkey. Get the best of Sonoma County to make your Thanksgiving celebration extra special this year!
We’re offering delectable Pumpkin and Bourbon Pecan pies from Dominique Cortara of Dominique’s Sweets made with delicious, locally sourced pumpkin. $25 per pie, includes glass pie plate (refundable for $3).
Dominique trained at the Cordon Blue in Paris and so she has a very French flair. She is dedicated to using real food from local farmers – real pumpkins, real butter, always with fresh spices.
Also, to provide the freshest ingredients for your Thanksgiving meal, Laguna Farm is offering a box of beautiful produce. $25 per box. Produce Boxes will contain: salad mix, onions, potatoes, cooking greens (chard, kale, collards or spinach), carrots and parsley. Laguna Farm represents a collection of high-quality, sustainably produced food from the farm or from other ethical, quality farms in the area.
