About Martha Hodgkins and the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture:

The Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture “is a nonprofit organization on a mission to create a healthy and sustainable food system. We are working to develop a culture of eating based on what farms need to grow to build healthy soil and a resilient ecosystem. In our quest to transform the way America eats and farms, we convene change makers, train farmers, educate food citizens and develop agroecological farming practices.”

Martha Hodgkins.is communications director at Stone Barns Center. Her commitment to sustainable agriculture grew out of her work in conservation and a deep respect for wildlands and the natural world.  “At Stone Barns Center, Martha works to connect people not only with our work, but also with the larger issues surrounding food and agriculture today.”

The Book Group meets the first Thursday of the month, 7 – 9pm in Sebastopol. It’s a convivial dinner. Please bring a dish for four and a beverage.

To be a member of the Book Group you don’t need to be a member of Slow Food, although – of course – we hope that with time you will become one.
