Slow Food California - Be A Host. Host a Slow Food Leader From Out Of Town

Do you have a spare room? A guesthouse? Know someone who does? Can you host a Slow Food Leader?

Slow Food California is Coming to Town! Tickets are now available.

Sonoma County is hosting the next Slow Food California Regional Leaders meeting.

We’ll be welcoming 100 members and leaders from around the state on Labor Day Weekend (September 5 – 7).

In order to keep costs down and conviviality up, we’re recruiting members and friends of Slow Food in the area to host a slow food leader in their homes. Providing a homestay for a travelling leader is a great way to support the cause and make a new friend.

One of the great benefits of being a part of the Slow Food Network is being welcomed into people’s homes and communities around the world– it could be you one day! So host a slow food leader and connect deeper with our worldwide network of food activists who seek a food system that is good, clean, and fair, for all.

Slow Food California is a chapter in its own right, for members that do not live in an area of the state that has a local chapter and which has not enough momentum to start its own chapter, but it is also a regional state-wide network that makes the Slow Food movement more effective in policy issues in Sacramento, and functions as an inter-chapter support system and makes it possible to address statewide issues and campaigns, such as the Follow The Rooster campaign of the Farmers Guild.
