Four years ago she conceived and built ~ from the ground up ~ the acclaimed restaurant and event space Barndiva, which along with Artists and Farmers, her eclectic shop next door, have become a beloved and integral part of the Healdsburg Community. In addition to supporting over a hundred local artisan food purveyors, Barndiva spreads the slo message with its full calendar of private events ~ mostly weddings ~ which are built around the finest organic seasonal menus. Fully committed to taking the highly complex business of food service to new levels of sustainability, Barndiva sends its used cooking oil to run tractors at Preston Vineyards, while its bio-degradable kitchen scraps are fed to the chickens at Dragonfly Farms (who conviently lay the eggs for what is quite possibly the best Sunday Brunch in Sonoma County) |
